Yet Another Use For Osmo Polyx Oil

I can't really call this an Ikea Hack cos it just involved some paint and a bit of (the now ubiquitous in our house) Osmo oil but it certainly looks cute.

Take one Ikea Latt toddler table:

Use some leftover emulsion to paint a lion on the table top (to match the lion in your toddler's fabulous pink and white mural):

Oil the wood, paint a zebra pattern on one chair, a giraffe pattern on the other, and you end up with this:

Cute, huh? I didn't want to go too mad with it cos I figured it's probably going to get trashed (I've seen some very elaborate Latt re-vamps on Apartment Therapy and just know the parents weep silently inside every time their toddler falls upon it enthusiastically with a felt tip pen, as toddlers are wont to do). I did slap some Ronseal varnish over the emulsion to give it a bit of protection - so far it's wiping clean quite nicely.

Next up - the curtains!
