Bathroom Renovation Progress

We are renovating our bathroom in collaboration with Bathroom Takeaway.

It feels like we've been working on this bathroom renovation forever, and to be fair we did start at the beginning of October, so we haven't exactly made speedy progress. But progress has been made, nonetheless! Behold...

Removing the panelling. Also, the bath is basically resting on rotten chipboard, yippee.

Before it all began.

Before it all began.

So, we've basically done loads but it's taken a really long time, partly because we've had Christmas in the middle of it all, partly because the baby's room is next door and we can't work when she sleeps because she wakes up when a fly buzzes past the window, and partly because we have another functional bathroom so don't feel the same sense of urgency to get the work done that we did with the kitchen.

Next steps - finish the tiles, refinish and paint the original Victorian bath, and get the radiator, sink, and WC plumbed in. We bought the latter items (a lovely modern shower enclosure, a traditional radiator towel rail, a nice curvy WC, and a thermostatic shower with an extra shower head) from Bathroom Takeaway, who kindly gave me a discount. I’m delighted in turn to be able to offer my blog readers a 10% discount on all products from Bathroom Takeaway using code SIMPLY10, which is valid until 30 August 2018. Happy shopping!

So much more still to do, yikes. Maybe if we keep at it we'll be done in time for Christmas :-)
